Founded in 1896 who intended to be part of Udinese in Gimnastica Societa e Scherma.
On July 5, 1911, several gymnasts like Luigi Dal Dan, makes Udinese AC and joined the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
In 1912, Udinese took to compete FIGC official. But up to Serie A was formed, Udinese are not able to carve out a dominant performance.
In the 1949/50 season, Udinese managed to finish in the top two Serie B, which automatically led them promotion to Serie A for the first time in club history.
Udinese could only show the performance mediocre. Udinese has rarely been a champion in a competition. Trophy which was obtained in the Intertoto Cup in 2000.
In 2010, Udinese could be gravel for his opponents, first led by Antonio Di Natale and Alexis Sanches make a respected club in serie A
